Facilitate a Lift Off

Take your team to the next level by facilitating a lift off.

Why a Lift Off?

Starting an ambitious project requires a group of people to work together to unlock the future value. A team can achieve far more than individuals acting alone. So a team needs to be arranged with a clear mission of what to do and how to do it. But not every team or project starts like that.

And as many have experienced, projects can go quickly astray when people are not aligned or misunderstand what the team is trying to achieve.

Despite the best intentions, people can suddenly get a shock when they realise that the reality of the project is very different to their original expectations.

So it’s always a good idea to come together and develop a shared understanding. And it makes sense to do this with the team before the project begins. In other words, to start well.

How you start will determine how you continue.

How you start will determine how you continue.

If you start well, you are improving the chances of continuing well.

A Lift Off brings together time-honoured techniques, tools and practices into an event (over about two days) with the aim of starting well, as efficiently as possible. A Lift Off helps teams to clarify their purpose, the context in which they operate, and their alignment with other teams.

The Lift Off works well with any type of team and is agnostic of existing management approaches. Once the team has clarified their direction, how to work together and generated sufficient energy, it’s time to … ‘Lift Off’.

“Whether you’re a leader, coach or agile practice lead, project manager, you’ll gain strategic and tactical benefits from liftoffs”
