Committed Resources

In this video Diana Larsen and Neal Taylor discuss the committed resources, how to facilitate it during a Liftoff, and which activities could follow on if needed.

What is a prospective analysis?

This refers to all the resources we need to get the job done. Not ‘human’ resources but all other resources which could include tools, software, licences, finance, permissions, equipment.

How to facilitate the prospective analysis during a Liftoff?

List all the resources that team thinks it needs. Identify which resources the team has and which it doesn’t have. How urgently are these resources needed and when does the team think they are needed?

The resources can then prioritised according to:

  • must have
  • desire
  • nice to have
  • can live without

Potential follow on activities

Following on, facilitators can potentially integrate the following activities depending on team needs and time:

  • Tech radar (especially for software tools)
